Q: What is the Meet?

A: It is the annual gathering of Supermagna Owners from all over the US, Overseas & our Northern neighbor Canada. It is the ONLY chance to see more than a few Supers together in one place for the simple purpose of being together & riding. There are 5 days of riding, visiting, gawking, laughing, and generally having a good time. I have yet to hear anyone that didn't enjoy some part of the Meet, and walk away with a new friend or three.

Q: Who is invited?

A: There are no restrictions as to who can come and who cant. Everyone is welcome, And I mean everyone. We even have a few regular attendees that dont even own Supers.  But they come with Super Owners. Anyone that does come does however HAVE to realize that this IS the Supermagna Meet, It is being held for Super Owners by Super Owners. With that being said the only real restriction we have is that anyone that comes leaves the attitude at home. We all come to have a good time with good people. If a person shows with a chip on their shoulder they will be asked to leave, and helped to leave if need be. This has never happened in all the years we have had the Meet and I really dont ever expect it to be an issue.

Q: Do I HAVE to be there all 5 days?

A: No you don't. Weds to Sun are just the days the the event is held. You can come for as many or as few days as suits your schedule

Q: What is the big deal about the rides?

A: There is a group of hard working folks that take extra time out of there lives to come out and actually ride every inch of the roads we will be riding and insure that they are safe/ fun roads to ride. Most of us enjoy the adventure of going to another state and riding the best roads in the state. Its a chance to sharpen your skills or really enjoy the some of the Best Scenery the area has to offer.

The rides usually leave the Hotel parking Lot around 10am and spend the day out riding. There is always a lunch stop in some little town for a good meal. Then its back to the hotel via a different route. Always back before dinner unless you are riding with our "Scenic opportunity" ride captain. Then we send the search crew out for you if he has not returned you safe and sound by bedtime. Just kidding we haven't lost a group yet!

Q: What kind of riding pace do you do?

A: The groups are divided by riding style and prefs. The Groups tend to fall into the following categories:

  • Fast Group: A Very Fast group with a lot of experience. The speed limit is merely a suggestion. And the double yellow means "GO GO GO" This is only for experienced riders and is NOT a 2-UP ride
  • Fast Intermediate: It s a fast pace and there is passing on the double yellow yellow. Most of the time is above the speed limit. There are also a few more scenic stops. NOT a 2-UP ride
  • Intermediate: Its a quick pace and there is passing occasionally on the double yellow. Some of the time is on the high side of the posted speed limit.  But nothing that's ever heart stopping. There are also a few more scenic stops than the first two groups. Great for experienced 2-UP riders
  • Scenic: A easy going smell the flowers ride. Rarely any hard passing. And right on the speed limit. Its just a chance to kick back and enjoy the ride without any white knuckle action. Not a Harley Parade by any means but nothing difficult. Excellent group for new riders and new 2-UPS. Many single riders as well.

So as you can see there is a ride for everyone. Rides leave in the order listed above so that if someone gets in over their head they can always pull over and catch the next group. All of our groups follow the same routes for this reason.

HOWEVER we still insist that everyone follows the "Ride your own Ride" plan. Just because you want to ride with the really fast guys please take into account your own experience when selecting a group to ride with. The Ride Captains do however have the option of suggesting a person considers backing off to a slower group if it appears they will hurt themselves or someone else within the group. Getting everyone home in one piece is of the highest importance. We would all rather hear about the awesome rides from the Meet instead of "Oh MY God those guys are psycho and I'm never going to a Meet again" If you are in a group that suits your riding skill I can promise it will be a great trip.

Q: I have never ridden with a group before.

A: Not a problem. There is a brief explanation of the riding rules and what is expected from each rider before the ride departs. Its not hard to melt into a group like this when there are so many riding styles to choose from. The groups each have a Ride Captain and Tailgunner that are experienced riders and experienced with group riding.

Q: Is riding all there is to do?

A: Certainly not! The typical day of the meet breaks down as follows:

  • Breakfast on your own
  • Rides depart at 10:00
  • Lunch on the road
  • Arrive back at the Hotel mid afternoon
  • Group Dinner (optional)
  • Social Hour after dinner lasts into the wee hours

Should you choose not to participate in the days group rides you are welcome to "Do your own thang" and there is always other activities somewhere around the town. There are a couple of folks that come to the Meet just to kick back and visit.

Q: How much does it cost? And is the hotel included?

A: The registration fee is only 25.00. Per rider. No charge for passengers. In return for the registration fee. You get:

  • Entered into the Show
  • And event provided cookout ((( if there are enough registrations )))
  • A Meet T-Shirt

No your Hotel is not included. But we do always secure a clean hotel and a fair group rate. Each  year we try to establish a flat rate, which includes taxes. You do NOT have to stay at the same hotel as the rest of us, but since everything is based at the hotel it makes it much easier on everyone.

Q: What is this Social Hour?

A: After the Optional Group Dinner we all hang out in the hotel parking lot in area blocked off for just us and spend the evening visiting and catching up. There is a lot always going on. But the "Social Hour" is really the heart of the Meet. Since the event was named "The Meet" with the purpose of gathering Supermagna owners from all over that would have prob have never met. There are always groups of folks drooling over the bikes, laughing and joking, telling stories of the day, knocking back a few cold ones if they choose. Just imagine mixing it up with 50+ others that enjoy the same passion you have for your bike. I am very proud to say that some of the Best Friends I have are folks I have met at the Meet. And being new is not a handicap. There are always new and old faces alike. Everyone is welcome to just step up and visit.

Q: My bike is not a show Bike, I'm not sure I want to bring it.

A: Granted there is a bike Show and there ARE certainly show bikes. but the largest part of this group is made up of folks that have bikes that are in need of some love, bone stock bikes, & lightly modified bikes . That's the cool thing about it. You can walk around getting ideas and asking folks about how they did this or that all night long. Everyone is glad to talk about what they did. And nobody complains when you go home and do the same things to your bike.

You WILL go home with a list of things you want to tackle after the Meet but NOBODY is ever picked on or even talked about just because they have not gone with a lot of custom stuff.

Even the Bike Show has Awards for everyone. There are several awards you shoot for:

  • Best Full Custom
  • Best Heavy Modified
  • Best Light Modified
  • Best Stock

These are the base Awards, we have often included others such as Iron Butt, Best Modification, & Best Paint. There is an Awards Committee that decides what and how many Awards we have each year dependant on the amount of registrations which in turn relates to how much money there is to spend.

Summery:

  • Ride your own Ride

  • Rider Safety comes above everything else.

  • Come to have good time. (No attitudes permitted)

  • Be prepared to make new friends and catch up with old ones.

  • Prepare yourself to see the Best collection of Supermagnas ever to hit the road.
